The next event in Henley Choral Society’s bumper 50th anniversary year is a workshop open to all singers by much-loved composer and conductor Bob Chilcott. Starting at 10.30am on Saturday 20th May at St Mary’s Church, Henley, you’ll be singing three of Bob’s own compositions: Songs and Cries of London, Like a Singing Bird, and A Little Jazz Mass, before an informal performance from 3.45pm – 4.30pm. Score hire included in ticket price. As part of the society’s commitment to making singing accessible to all, places are free for under 30-year-olds and those in receipt of income or disability benefit. Most important, the society promises their bakers will be out in force with plenty of home-made cake to fuel a day of singing and learning!
