Fabulous music and singing opportunities in 2024
We celebrated our 50th Anniversary last year with an incredible schedule of events, including the world premiere of a new composition specially commissioned by Henley Choral Society from internationally renowned British composer, Cecilia McDowall, and the very first Henley Big Sing, where over 300 people of all ages came and sang their hearts out.
In 2024 we continue our innovative programming: the Spring concert of music by Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Finzi written between 1916 and 1945 on themes of peace, service and sacrifice, which is also raising money for the Royal British Legion, and Summer concert of two joyful jazz-infused works by contemporary British composer Alexander L’Estrange which will feature our Henley Youth Choir. We continue to support a love of singing and music in young people and children through our free memberships, ticket concessions, bursaries and Youth Choir. If you want to help us spread the joy of singing and choral music, please become a Friend of Henley Choral Societyhere.
