    In 2023 Henley Choral Society celebrated our special 50th Anniversary with an exciting schedule of events, including the world premiere of a new composition specially commissioned by Henley Choral Society from internationally renowned British composer, Cecilia McDowall.

    Our Friends, Sponsors and Advertisers play a vital role in enabling us to bring top quality performances and music to our local community, in helping share the joy of singing with free community events, in supporting free membership for 18-30 years olds and in providing bursaries for our Youth Choirs.

    Above all, as a Friend of Henley Choral Society, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting quality music-making in your local community. Friends pay a minimum  of £25 per year, but many of our Friends give very generously. We are so grateful for the support of the growing band of Friends - your support really does make a difference!

    We are a vibrant and enthusiastic charity, with a growing profile in our local community. Previous and current sponsors have played an important role in sharing our work with wider audiences and bringing top musical talent to play and sing in and around Henley.

    We are particularly interested in working with sponsors who want to support our work with children, young people and male singers.

    Advertising

    We welcome advertisements for our concert programmes. Programmes are produced for each of our three concerts per year. Each programme - and your advert - will be seen by 300-400 discerning and influential readers in the local area. Advertising with Henley Choral Society could strike just the right chord with your target audience.

SUMMER JAZZ

6.30pm Saturday, 22nd June 2024, St Mary’s Church, Henley on Thames, RG9 2AT

 

Join Henley Choral Society, Henley Youth Choirs and a top-class jazz quintet as we perform contemporary British composer  Alexander L’Estrange’s joyful jazz-infused Zimbe! and Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose.

SONGS OF PEACE

7.30pm Saturday, 6th April 2024, The Great Hall, University of Reading

 

Our concert to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, featuring Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem (‘Grant us peace’), Elgar The Spirit of England and Finzi  Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice with a retiring collection in aid of the Royal British Legion, was a great success in a packed Great Hall, University of Reading. THE HENLEY BIG SING

Saturday 14th October 2023, Henley Town Hall

What an absolutely amazing event this was!  Over 300 adults and children joined us to sing at the two events on the day AND you raised over £1,000 for Riverside Counselling.
