Welcome to all the Pleasures - Join Henley Choral Society for their popular Summer performance on Saturday 29th June at the Christ Church Centre, Henley at 7.30pm. Enjoy a wonderful evening of music including Purcell’s ‘Welcome to all the Pleasures’ written in honour of Saint Cecilia, Patron Saint of music and Elgar’s ‘From the Bavarian Highlands’ which he wrote to remember his family holiday in the region. SONGS OF PEACE

Our concert to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, featuring Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem (‘Grant us peace’), Elgar The Spirit of England and Finzi Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice with a retiring collection in aid of the Royal British Legion, was a great success in a packed Great Hall, University of Reading.
